The First Step Forward

The first fundraiser I put on was a holiday booth at the Gypsum Middle School. At the booth I sold hand made scarves, home made chocolates and salad dressing. I sold about 60 to 70% of the items I made. Altogether the fair was very successful and I had a great time telling people about Children's Global Alliance and what I am doing to help support the children in developing countries. My first fundraiser went very well and hope to participate in it next year.

An Adventure that will Never be Forgotten

My name is Karlina Feduschak. I am a 7th grader who will be traveling to Nicaragua to help children with disabilities this spring.I  heard about this program last winter when many of my sisters friends were participating in it. The minute I heard about it I was fully intrigued by the idea of going to a developing country and helping those who are less fortunate then I am. I have heard about other kids experiences and was inspired by their story's and what they had said about the amazing experience they had. I heard about the hard work they all had put into the service trip and what they had experienced while they were on the adventure. I am hoping that I will get out as many life lessons and experiences as they did. After I have returned from Nicaragua I hope that I will see the world differently and appreciate more that I have.
